David Lavoie is a guitarist, trumpeter, and composer residing in Mohkinstsis who studied with noted Canadian jazz trumpeter Brad Turner in Vancouver. David presents music from the modern jazz and post-bop eras and carefully selected newer works and original compositions which pull from those influences. His thoughtful approach to the trumpet and composition brings listeners a fresh perspective on familiar jazz standards while remaining immersed in the sounds of the modern jazz era.
